"Exist" is one of a three-part series, Poetic Art created as a collaboration between Yeabtsega Getachew, the Visual Artist & Kalkidan Getnet, the Poet (@kalkidan_everted). They took different words each day and together created a piece of artwork with a poem that describes the art.

Today I died
And they buried me 6 feet under a ground
The same ground I built my home on
The same ground I built my home on
The same ground I have planted trees I'd never see grow into shades
The same ground where my umbilical cord was buried once upon a time
Today I died
And they buried me 6 feet under
Tucked me in a soil my skin knows so well
Today I died
But I also realized I have indeed lived up to this moment
By the way the ground was so welcoming.
